MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
May 14, 2018 9:00 AM

The regular meeting of the Henryetta Economic Development Authority was held on May 14, 2018 in the Henryetta City Council’s Chamber, 115 South 4th Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma. The Chairman called the meeting to order and verified the presence of a quorum and that proper publication of the “Notice of Meeting” in accordance with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act had occurred.

1.  Discuss City Council’s conformation of the reappointment of Trustee Ron McAfee to serve as a HEDA Trustee for an addition five-year term. Trustees acknowledged the City Council’s approval of the reappointment of Trustee Ron McAfee.

2.  Discuss/Act on the minutes of the Regular meeting – April 9, 2018 – Bruce Jones moved to approve.  Jim Beymer moved to second.  Jill Francis (Yes) Jim Beymer (Yes) Bruce Jones (Yes) Ron McAfee (Yes) Jennifer Clason (Yes) - Motion Carried

3.  Discuss/Act on the HEDA financial report – April 2018 – Jennifer Clason moved to approve.  Jim Beymer moved to second. Jill Francis (Yes) Jim Beymer (Yes) Bruce Jones (Yes) Ron McAfee (Yes) Jennifer Clason (Yes) - Motion Carried

4.  Discuss/Act on reimbursing the City of Henryetta in the amount of $1,609.32 for Engineering Services for the I-40 Exit 237 Sewer System Project. Ron Casey reported that the funding supported the design of fencing at the lift station and attorney fees for the easement for adjoining properties.  Jim Beymer moved to approve.  Jill Francis moved to second. Jill Francis (Yes) Jim Beymer (Yes) Bruce Jones (Yes) Ron McAfee (Yes) Jennifer Clason (Yes) - Motion Carried

5.  Discuss/Act on paying Brown Printing $41.88 for cassette tapes. Jennifer Clason moved to approve. Bruce Jones moved to second. Jill Francis (Yes) Jim Beymer (Yes) Bruce Jones (Yes) Ron McAfee (Yes) Jennifer Clason (Yes) - Motion Carried

6.  Discuss/Act on approving the 2018/2019 HEDA budget and in turn forwarding the budget to the City Council for concurrence. Bruce Jones moved to approve the budget and forward the budget to the City Council for approval. Jennifer Clason moved to second. Jill Francis (Yes) Jim Beymer (Yes) Bruce Jones (Yes) Ron McAfee (Yes) Jennifer Clason (Yes) - Motion Carried

7.  Discuss/Act the status of the donation request from Donna Dyer of the East Central Oklahoma Family Health Center, Inc. in the amount of $33,364.00 as presented at the April 9, 2018 meeting. Jim Beymer moved to have HEDA donate $25,000 to East Central Oklahoma Family Health Center, Inc. as requested by Ms. Dyer at the December 2017 meeting.  The motion died due to lack of a second by the trustees.

9. Old Business – Ron Casey provided an additional update on the progress at the I-40 Exit 237 sewage project.
